Sean Lahey Book Signing - Sunday, March 20, 2016
Join us on March 20th from 1-3pm as Sean signs copies of his novel, Taming the American Horse.

Sean began writing as a response to loneliness soon after finishing college and starting my first job in Palm Beach, Florida. For almost the next two decades, Sean continued to write several stories and books while moving from Florida to northern California and back again.

After returning to Florida in early 2000’s, he was set up on a blind date which would change the direction of his life.

Lara, Sean's soulmate, having read an unfinished version of ‘Taming the American Horse’ wanted to know the ending. She jokingly told him that she wanted to give him ‘time’ to finish his book and that he should not to worry about taking her out again on a date until it had an ending.

Two days later, Sean presented Lara with a final chapter and a few months later asked for her hand in marriage.

In 2015, Lara discovered she was positive for the BRCA-1 gene mutation and was shortly thereafter diagnosed fast moving form of breast cancer. As a team, they worked through her fight. She encouraged Sean to publish this book while she completed her chemotherapy treatments. Lara inspired Sean to be a doer, not just a dreamer. Sean extends his eternal love and gratitude to his incredible wife and soul mate for believing this insurance salesman could also be a writer.

In Taming the American Horse, a young man struggles with boredom and disillusionment and leaves a high paying corporate job to search for his soul on the back of a Harley named ‘American Horse’. He quickly finds that the grass is not greener and he must fight to maintain his moral fiber while surrounded by violence and corruption in the American desert.

Taming the American Horse is a captivating story about self-discovery and becoming a man. Sean T. Lahey is a brilliant writer who quickly endears the character, Karl, to his readers. You won't want to put this book down. - Michelle Fields

Amazing book!!! I could really identify with the main character, and could not put the book down once I started. I was so intrigued by the supporting characters that I believe they could each be the main character in their own book. We will see what Mr. Lahey does next. Can't wait!!!!!! - Mike Bayhi

It wasn't until my second read through of this amazing novel that I realized that Taming the American Horse is perhaps one of the funniest and deeply moral books I have ever read. This taut, coming of age, adventure story kept me on the edge of my seat while giving me belly laughs. - Chris Riseley
