2025 Mount Dora Book Expo

Barrel of Books and Games is so excited to invite you to our first ever Book Expo.

We will feature more than a dozen local authors with books from every genre you can imagine.

At 1 pm we will have a presentation from Bestselling Author Taryn Souders and Constructive Editor and Publisher, Bill Opperman. They will speak and then answer questions directly afterwards. Aspiring authors are welcome and encouraged to attend. Plenty of seating is available.

There will be great door prizes (must be present) and free raffles (no need to be present) throughout the event. Each author will have their books for sale and happy to sign copies for you.

FAQ's:

• Is there an admission fee? No. Everyone is welcome free of charge.
• Where is the Expo located? The Donnelly Building is at the corner of 5th and Donnelly St in Downtown Mount Dora.
• Can I bring my dog? Pets are not allowed with the exception of service animals.
• Is this event handicap accessible? Absolutely. yes.
• Will the authors accept cash or credit card? Yes, authors will accept both forms of payment.
• Where can I park? Wherever you can find a parking space. Parking in downtown Mount Dora is free and hard to come by on weekends. You should take the first spot you see and try to carpool if possible.
• Will this be an annual event? We'll see how this one goes but that is the hope.
• How can I become an author at this event? The Expo is fully booked for this year. Feel free to email crissy@barrelofbooksandgames.com with your contact information to be notified for next year's Expo.
• Will Page the Cat be at the Expo? Sadly no. She resides at the actual bookstore.
